1. Corporate Counsel – One of the most lucrative career options with a high starting pay package, generally ranging between six to nine lakhs a year, not to mention incentives like accommodation, vehicles etc. Job profile would include drafting and negotiating contracts, ensuring compliance with law as well as the company’s interests, etc.
2. Litigation – The hardcore and glitz-filled career option for a law graduate is to “go into practice”. The traditional image of white-and-black-robed lawyer arguing in a court is etched in everyone’s mind who has ever watched a Hindi movie. It promises the greatest challenges, as well as the greatest rewards in monetary terms. However, the initial years can be a bit frustrating, as its not everyday that your hard work will be rewarded.

8. Company Secretary – A very upcoming and tempting field for law schoolites, many students are pursuing CS along with law, which gives them a better standing in terms of placements.
9. Media and Law – Another tempting option in terms of job satisfaction is a SHIFT to journalism, which is easy for a law student considering the research, analytical and writing skills developed in a law school. However, the package might be low compared to their counterparts in other fields.
10. Social Work – Tremendous job satisfaction awaits you if you are passionate about bringing about a change in the society. However, the financial security is low, and totally inadequate if you have a family to support.
Apart from these, other options are awaiting you like a career in the Government sector, or in politics, or even in international organizations like the UNO, the ILO etc.
