Opportunity for Diploma Holders, 10+2 passed with Maths and Physics and Matriculates as Enrolled Personnel – 02/2010 batch.

Applications are invited from male Indian nationals possessing educational qualifications and age, as prescribed below, for recruitment to the post of Yantriks, Naviks (General Duty) and Naviks (Domestic Branch) in the Indian Coast Guard, an Armed Force of the Union.

Yantrik:
Qualification: Matriculate with three years Diploma in Mechanical/ Electrical/ Electronics Engg. Recognized by AICTE.
Age for All Categories: Born between 01 July 88 and 30 June 92. (Upper age relaxation of 5 years for SC./ST and 3 years for OBC candidates)
Starting Pay: Rs. 5200-20200 with Rs. 2400 Grade Pay.
How To Apply For Yantriks

  • The recruitment is conducted bi-annually.
  • The advertisement is given in employment news all over India, both in Hindi as well as in English.
  • The recruitment is conducted in eight centre all over India, viz New Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai, Calcutta, Vizag, Kochi, New Mangalore and Goa.
  • The shortlisted candidates are called for selection tests at centre of their choice.
  • The candidates are subjected to written test. Those who qualify the written test undergo interview.
  • The qualified candidates are to undergo medical examination. If qualified they are selected as per merit list

Navik (General Duty):
Qualification: 10+2 with Maths and Physics from an Education Board recognized by Central/ State Government.
Age for All Categories: Born between 01 July 88 and 30 June 92. (Upper age relaxation of 5 years for SC./ST and 3 years for OBC candidates)
Starting Pay: Rs. 5200-20200 with Rs. 2000 Grade Pay.

Domestic Branch (Cook & Steward):
Qualification: Matriculate
Age: Born between 01 October 88 and 30 Sept. 92. (Upper age relaxation of 5 years for SC/ST and 3 years for OBC candidates).
Starting Pay: Rs. 5200-20200 with Rs. 1900 Grade Pay.

How To Apply For Naviks(GD/DB)

  • The recruitment is conducted bi-annually.
  • The advertisement is given in employment news all over India, both in Hindi as well as in English. The recruitment is conducted in 5 zones viz., Western Zone, Eastern Zone, North-Eastern Zone, A&N Zone and North Zone.
  • The shortlisted candidates are called for selection test at convenient centre at various zones.
  • The candidates are subjected to Mental Ability Test (Verbal & Non-Verbal), (only Non-Verbal in case of DB), entrance test and interview. During the written test and interview the candidates have the option of answering in Hindi/English.
  • The qualified candidates are to undergo medical examination, those who clear the medical examination are selected as per merit list.

Afloat training onboard Coast Guard Ships 08 weeks
