Film and Television Institute of India(FTII) Is Recruiting Sound Recording  / Fine Arts Diploma / Master Degree Candidates at  Pune In 2010

Applications are invited from the citizens of India for the following posts in the Film and Television Institute of India, Pune:

Professor Sound Engineering-Post-1
Pay Scale: Rs. 15600 – 39100 + Rs. 6600/- GP
Age: Max 40 years
Qualification:
i) Degree of a recognized University
ii) Degree or Diploma or equivalent in Sound Recording and Sound Engineering from a recognized University or Institution
iii) At least 6 years’ professional experience including teaching in the field of Sound Recording and/or Sound Engineering in an organization or institution of repute. –OR–
i) Master’s Degree of a recognized University.
ii) At least 8 years’ professional experience including teaching in Sound Recording and Sound Engineering in an organisation or institution of repute.
–OR–
i) Degree of a recognized University or equivalent
ii) At least 10 years’ professional experience including teaching in Sound Recording and Sound Engineering in an organization or institution of repute.
Desirable:
Good knowledge of Film and TV medium in India and abroad. “Preference will be given to those candidates who have qualification and / or experience in other fields of Film and Television in addition to the essential qualification and experience prescribed above.”

Assistant Professor TV Graphics-Post-1
Pay Scale: Rs. 15600 – 39100 + Rs. 6600/- GP
Age: Max 35 years
Qualification:
i) Degree of a recognized University
ii) Degree or Diploma or equivalent in Fine Arts from a recognized University or Institution or equivalent
iii) At least 4 years’ professional experience including teaching of Graphics / Animation in a responsible capacity in an organization or institution connected with Film/TV Graphics or Training.–OR–
i) Master’s Degree of a recognized University.
ii) At least 6 years’ professional experience including teaching of Graphics / Animation in a responsible capacity in an organization or institution connected with Film/TV Graphics or Training.–OR–
i) Degree of a recognized University or equivalent
ii) At least 8 years’ professional experience including teaching of Graphics / Animation in a responsible capacity in an organization or institution connected with Film/TV Graphics or Training. Candidates are required to produce evidence of professional work done.
Desirable:
1. Teaching Experience
2. Knowledge of World Art
3. Certificate of completion of TV Graphics Course conducted by FTII or equivalent.

Lecturer TV Graphics-Post-1
Pay Scale: Rs.15600 – 39100 + Rs. 5400/- GP
Age: Max 30 years
Qualification:
i) Degree of a recognized University.
ii) Degree or Diploma or equivalent in Fine Arts from a recognized University or Institute.
iii) At least 2 years’ professional experience including teaching in Graphics / Animation in a responsible capacity in an organization or Institution of repute.
–OR–
i) Master’s Degree of a recognized University.
ii) At least 4 years’ professional experience including teaching in Graphics / Animation in a responsible capacity in an institution or organization of repute.
–OR–
i) Degree of a recognized University or equivalent.
ii) At least 5 years’ professional experience including teaching in Graphics / Animation in a responsible capacity in an institution or organization of repute.
Desirable:

Lecturer Art Direction-Post-1
Pay Scale: Rs.15600 – 39100 + Rs. 5400/- GP
Age: Max 30 years
Qualification:
i) Degree of a recognized University.
ii) Degree or Diploma in Fine Arts of a recognized University or Institute or equivalent.
iii) At least 2 years’ professional experience including teaching as an Art Director in a Film/TV Studio or an institution or organization of repute.
–OR–
i) Master’s Degree of a recognized University.
ii) At least 4 years’ professional experience including teaching as an Art Director in a Film/TV Studio or an organization or institution of repute.
–OR–
i) Degree of a recognized University or equivalent.
ii) At least 5 years’ professional experience including teaching as an Art Director in a Film/TV Studio or an institution or organization of repute.
Desirable:

Lecturer Sound Engineering-Post-1
Pay Scale: Rs.15600 – 39100 + Rs. 5400/- GP
Age: Max 30 years
Qualification:
i) Degree of a recognized University.
ii) Degree or Diploma or equivalent in Sound Engineering from a recognized University or Institute.
iii) At least 2 years’ professional experience including teaching in Sound Recording / Sound Engineering in an organization or institution of repute engaged in Film/TV Production or training.
–OR–
i) Master’s Degree of a recognized University in Telecommunication Engineering
ii) At least 4 years’ professional experience including teaching in Sound Recording / Sound Engineering in an organization or institution of repute engaged in Film/TV Production or training. –OR–
i) Degree of a recognized University or equivalent.
ii) At least 5 years’ professional experience including teaching in Sound Recording / Sound Engineering in an organization or institution of repute engaged in Film / TV Production or training.
Desirable:
1. Good knowledge of Film & TV medium in India and abroad. “Preference will be given to those candidates who have qualification and / or experience in other fields of Film and Television in addition to the essential qualification and experience prescribed above.”

Librarian (Books)-Post-1
Pay Scale: Rs. 9300 – 34800 + Rs. 4200/- GP
Age: Max 30 years
Qualification:
i) Matriculation of a recognized University or equivalent
ii) Diploma or certificate in Library Science from a recognized University or Institution.
iii) At least 3 years’ experience of working in a Book Library.

Assistant Security Officer-Post-1
Pay Scale: Rs. 9300 – 34800 + Rs. 4200/- GP
Age: Max 50 years
Qualification:
i) Minimum S.S.C. or equivalent.
ii) Should have served not below the rank of JCO or equivalent rank for not less than 5 years, or an Ex-Police Officer in the rank not below P.S.I. The following in-service categories will also be eligible to apply for the post in open selection Caretaker / Caretaker-cum-Receptionist / Upper Division Clerk / Storekeeper with at least 5 years’ regular service in that grade and Costume Property Caretaker / Sr. Stenographer / Accountant with 3 years regular service in that grade. Qualifications prescribed will not apply to such candidates.

Demonstrator (Sound Recording)-Post-1
Pay Scale: Rs. 5200 – 20200 + Rs. 2400/- GP
Age: Max 30 years
Qualification:
i) Diploma in Sound Recording & Sound Engineering from a recognized Institute, preferably from the Film & TV Institute of India or equivalent.
Desirable:
1. One year experience in Sound Recording either in an independent capacity or at first assistant level.
2. One year experience of repair, servicing and maintenance of electrical or electronic equipment in a Film Studio, Radio Manufacturing or Marketing organization of repute.

Laboratory Technician-Post-1
Pay Scale: Rs. 5200 – 20200 + Rs. 2400/- GP
Age: Max 25 years
Qualification:
i) Matriculation or equivalent of a recognized University or Board.
ii) At least 3 years’ experience of film processing work in a Motion Picture Film Processing Laboratory of repute handling work of threading and operating processing machines and compounding of chemicals.

Relaxation:
The upper age limit (a) is relaxable in the case of SC/ST/OBC candidates, disabled persons and Ex-servicemen as per rules; (b) shall not apply to employees of Central Government/State Government or their Corporations, Undertakings or Societies and employees of the FTII; (c) is also relaxable by 10 years for the post of Professor, Assistant Professor, Lecturer and Demonstrator (Sound Recording) if they otherwise fulfill the qualifications.

Notes:

• The SC/ST candidates called for interview will be paid single Second Class Railway fare from the normal place of residence to the place of interview i.e. Pune and back on production of proof of their belonging to the Scheduled Castes / Scheduled Tribes and production of xerox copies of journey tickets to Pune.
• The age of retirement in the FTII is 60 years.
