Indian Institute of Science Education & Research (IISER) Is Inviting Applications From Post Graduate Degree in Commerce / B.E./B.Tech. (Civil) Candidates at Pune 2010

Indian Institute of Science Education and Research, Pune, is a premier autonomous Institution established by the Ministry of Human Resource Development, Government of India, for promotion of high quality science education and research in the country. The Institute invites applications for the following positions from Indian nationals possessing excellent academic record and relevant work experience:

Dy. Registrar (Finance & Accounts)-Post-1
Pay Scale: Rs. 15600-39000 + GP Rs. 7600
Age: Max 45 years as on closing date of advertisement
Qualification & Experience:
A Post Graduate Degree in Commerce or allied disciplines with minimum 55% marks or its equivalent grade of ‘B’ in the UGC 7 point scale; along with 5 years of experience in the Grade Pay of Rs. 6000/- and above or 4 years administrative experience as Assistant Registrar/Accounts Officer or in an equivalent post with experience in Finance and Accounts management in large organizations preferably in Government Organization / University / Public Sector Undertaking / Autonomous Research or Academic Institution.
Candidates with relevant work experience at equivalent grades in reputed private sector organizations can also be considered.
Desirable:
Knowledge of the Central Government Rules pertaining to Finance and Accounts including FR & SR, GFR, Audit, service conditions. Working experience in computerized accounting system and accounting
software.
Job Duties:
Budgeting, management of funds, bank reconciliation, cash and banking operations, pay roll management, foreign exchange transactions, closing of annual books of accounts, statutory returns, etc.

Project Engineer-cum-Estate Officer-Post-1
Pay Scale: Rs. 15600-39000 + GP Rs. 6600
Age: Max 45 years as on closing date of advertisement
Qualification & Experience:
B.E./B.Tech. (Civil) with minimum 55% marks / equivalent grade with 9 years experience in pre- and post-contract management of large building works consisting of commercial, residential, scientific laboratory and institutional buildings and large townships including services works. Preference will be given to those applicants having experience of handling similar works in Public Works Departments (PWD/CPWD), public sector undertakings / allied construction agencies.d.
Desirable:
Excellent team building and human resource management skills, Knowledge of modern techniques of construction and its management. Should be able to use software / computers for contract management and day to day work. Knowledge of “Green Building” concept.
Job Duties:
The incumbent will be in charge of the campus construction activity of the institute, apart from being the estate officer of the Institute’s land and buildings. He will be required to oversee the preparation of estimates, tender documents, checking engineering / structural drawings, construction management and supervision, certification of bills for payment and handling related contractual matters. Liaising with the government bodies for the necessary permissions/ approvals.

Notes:

• The above posts are as per the Central Government pay scales and carry allowances like Dearness, House Rent and Transport allowance as per Govt. of India rules.
• The posts are covered under New Pension Scheme of Govt. of India and will be eligible for other benefits like Medical, LTC, Children Education etc. as per the Government / Institute norms.
• The qualification prescribed should have been obtained from recognized Universities/ Institutions.
• Age relaxation will be considered in case of SC/ST/OBC/Physical handicapped and Ex-servicemen applicants as applicable.
• Preference willl be given for filling the posts on deputation basis on foreign service terms in case of the applicants working in Govt. organization/Public sectorundertaking/ Govt. funded research agencies. Age limit may be relaxed commensurate with relevant experience. Such applicants should forward their application through proper channel. However, an advance copy of application should be sent before the last date indicating their willingness to be considered on deputation. Pay of such incumbent will be protected as per Govt. of India rules.
• The prescribed essential qualifications/experience indicated are bare minimum and mere possession of same will not entitle the applicants to be called for interview. Where number of applications received in response to an advertisement is large, it may not be convenient or possible for the Institute to interview all the applicants. The Institute may restrict the number of applicants to be called for selection process to a reasonable limit, on the basis of qualifications and experience higher than that of the minimum prescribed in the advertisement. The applicants should, therefore, furnish details of all the qualifications and experience possessed in the relevant field, over and above the minimum qualifications / experience prescribed along with attested photocopies of marks sheets / certificates.
• Relaxation in age, educational qualification and / or experience will be considered in case of exceptionally meritorious applicants, with prior approval of the Competent Authority.
• No interim enquiries / correspondence / communication of any sort will be entertained on the matter.
• Canvassing in any form and / or bringing any influence, political, or otherwise, will be treated as a disqualification for the post applied for..
• Application not in the prescribed format, incomplete in any respect and not accompanied by relevant certificates / documents / photograph will be summarily rejected.
